Topic Three: Rhinoceros, Part Three . Portrait Propaganda

Portrait Propaganda (ambitious/in depth assignment)

In the portrait propaganda I was thinking of person that had an incorrect connotation in today's generation. Pablo Escobar was a murderer and drug lord in the 80's. Some people viewed him as a the Colombian Robin Hood and today he is viewed as an idol for many young men because of his riches. Pablo is often mentioned in rap songs and referred to as a king. The people referring to him in this way are usually people that did not experience the pain that he caused.
In my case, my family experienced this pain and had traumatic experiences throughout their childhood. My father watched hi uncles getting shot and dying in front of him as a child. My mom got used to the constant bombing and drive by shootings in her neighborhood. This was what their childhoods consisted of indirectly because of Pablo Escobar. He was a murderer and this is what i represented in my propaganda piece of him.
He is represented as a devil and he is controlling two puppets which are the hit mans he hired and the people he killed directly. In the background are newspaper articles from real life tragedies caused by him in the 80's.
